PA6-CF20 filament is made using a PA6 copolymer which is then reinforced with high-modulus carbon fiber. This filament is ideal for anyone that desires a structural component with high stiffness, improved chemical and thermal resistance, excellent surface quality, and ease of printing.
The excellent rigidity of this material gives customers the properties they need to make their 3D-printed parts with less material and save weight without sacrificing stiffness.
Benefits of PA6-CF20:
- Easy printability
- High tensile strength and rigidity
- wear and Abrasion resistance
- Improved chemical resistance over common materials like PLA and ABS
- High thermal properties
Filament Specifications:
1.75mm  +/- 0.05mm in diameter
Recommended Print Settings:
- Extruder: 245-270°C
- Bed Temp: 80-100°C
- Heated Chamber: A heated chamber between 30-80°C allows for superior layer bonding and mechanical properties however this is not a strict requirement
- Bed Prep: Rough Borosilicate Glass with PVP gluestick, or high temp carbon fiber sheet plus PVP glue stick, we also recommend the Vision Miner Nano Polymer
- Nozzle: We strongly recommend a 0.4mm orifice or larger using one of our Carbide nozzles
- Other: Ideal layer height is 60% of nozzle diameter. We do not recommend printing layers below 0.25mm with carbon fiber grades. Lower than 0.25mm may create too much back pressure in the hot end and result in poor feeding, jams, drive gear clicking, and eating a notch into the filament.
- Drying Instructions: 90°C for 4-6 hours
